At its heart sits the legendary SON 28 Dynamo Hub IS 6-Bolt – 6V/3W – 15×110 Boost – 36H, manufactured in Germany by Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau.

Designed around the modern 15×110 mm Boost standard, this version features symmetrical flanges, providing improved spoke geometry and more balanced spoke tension for a stiff, strong and reliable wheel.

The SON 28 features a lightweight yet highly durable 6082-T6 aluminium body, a cold-worked stainless steel hollow axle and premium sealed deep-groove ball bearings protected by labyrinth seals. Its exceptionally low rolling resistance and outstanding weather protection make it an ideal choice for long-distance adventures in all conditions.

Delivering regulated 6V / 3W output in accordance with StVZO standards, the SON 28 provides reliable power for dynamo lighting systems and compatible USB charging converters.
